If you've been participating in the Battle of Tukayyid event this weekend you may have encountered a number of server issues during peak times. These issues have been causing large numbers of player disconnects per-match, and for some players a general sluggishness to the MWO client menu and the website.
We are bringing the servers down at 6:00 PM PDT today to introduce some additional server logging and diagnostics to help determine the cause of the issue.
No patch will be required, but the downtime will cause all active players to be logged out and all ongoing matches to be stopped.
We sincerely apologize for the issues you may have encountered this weekend, and for this brief downtime. We hope to get this issue resolved as soon as possible once we have a better indication as to the cause.
